What Strategy do UK follow for Financial Wellbeing?

We spent a year talking to our stakeholders and creating a new UK Plan for Financial Wellbeing that is intended to alter personal finance at a large scale.

The UK Plan is a ten-year plan that will assist in realizing the goal of everyone maximizing their retirement benefits.

By assisting and cooperating with a broad spectrum of other organizations and by providing services as needed, Maps will play a crucial part in realizing this vision.

To engage and inspire a sizable number of stakeholders, the plan outlines a few key topics. It is concentrated on measurable objectives that seek to benefit individuals, their communities, and larger society. By 2030, we want the following things to be accomplished:

  • 2 million additional kids and teenagers are receiving a valuable financial education.
  • An additional 2 million persons of working age who routinely save are “struggling” and “squeezed”
  • Less than 2 million people regularly use credit to pay for groceries and bills.
  • 2 million more people are seeking debt counseling, and 5 million more are aware enough to make plans for their later years.

Only by cooperation and engagement with organizations from all facets of government, the third sector, instructors, consumers, financial services, employers, and other groups will the plan be able to realize its ambitious objective. Read on to learn how you can get involved if you work in one of these fields or care about enhancing the financial security of people, communities, businesses, and the economy.

Achieving financial well-being objectives throughout the UK

Since the strategy’s inception in 2020, MaPS has collaborated with hundreds of stakeholders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to organize implementation plans for each of the UK’s countries.

The plans offer helpful advice on how organizations around the nation might implement programs that assist individuals in making the most of their money both now and in the future. They take into account how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected peoples’ finances and how we might collaborate to bring about long-lasting change in how people handle their finances.

If you are, the strategies are for you.
