Mark your calendars for Sustainable Fashion Week, which returns for two weeks in the months of September and October for additional workshops, catwalks, and inspiring speeches on all things preloved. From Monday, September 25, to Sunday, October 8, the UK’s first environmentally friendly Fashion Week (SFW) will be in full swing, with events planned both domestically and abroad.

As parts of its Communities Programme, SFW will comprise over 75 distinctive grassroots initiatives, each specifically designed to assist the ReWear Revolution. The National Trust, the BBC, Salisbury The Museum, The Fashion Museum, and other organizations are taking part in the effort to band together to take measures against the excessive production and consumption of clothing.
It’s little wonder that Sustainability Fashion Week is expanding as a growing number of us become more conscious about what we wear, what it comes from, and how it affects society and the environment. In addition to its Bristol headquarters, this year will see growth with two-day Hubs opening in Plymouth, England, Manchester, Bradford, Yorkshire, London, Cardiff, Frome, and Brighton. With Centers in the USA, India, and Papua New Guinea, SFW has expanded internationally until 2023.
Featuring additional workshops, marketplaces, discussions, film screenings, and other events, it makes its triumphant comeback in an effort to harness the collective power of everyone to bring about improvements to the fashion business. The topic for this year’s Edition is “The ReWear Revolution,” which welcomes all individuals with an affection for fashion (as well as people and earth) to get involved. It celebrates anything preloved, second-hand, handed-down, reworked, and reworn.
SFW is the place to be to spruce up low-impact wardrobes, with DIY Natural Dye Seminars in Oxidate Design, Styling, Swapping, and Supper with DeFashion Dorset, seminars that will have fashionistas liven up their clothing with lino the printing process with Paige & Wynter, and an ultimate Style secure In by sustainable-stylist Clothemod.
The whole schedule of community programs is now available, so mark your calendars for events like the waste-free pattern cutting collection, sewing workshops, clothing swaps, and more. Fashionistas and activists can choose their favorite courses and activities from a packed schedule that is dispersed around the nation and even across international borders.
As the initial fashion month of its type, SFW is a trailblazer and trendsetter. This non-profit organization is handing over the power to the client and supplying the skills to remake and rewear through altering the fashion industry one item at a time. With assistance from Yeo Valley, discarded Spirits, Broadmead Business The enhancement District (BID), and FSC UK, as well as The awards for All money from the National Lottery, SFW will be going back to towns and cities all over the UK and beyond between September 25 and October 8, 2023 (with some room for changes either side).
