Archus succeeds in becoming certified as a B Corp.

The accreditation procedure to become a UK B Corp has been completed by healthcare infrastructure consultant Archus. It joins a long list of consulting companies that have completed accreditation to attest to their adherence to environmental and social codes of practice.

It’s quite fantastic to be able to introduce Archus into the B Corp community, according to Chris Turner, the chief executive of B Lab UK. Their dedication to conducting business differently will serve as an example to others and greatly aid in the dissemination of the idea that success in business can be redefined to include consideration for both the planet and its inhabitants as well as profit.

Companies that adhere to the environmental and social performance, accountability, and transparency standards established by the B Lab, a nonprofit network, are known as B corporations (or B Corps).

During certification, it assesses businesses based on their confirmed environmental and social performance, openness to the public, and legal accountability.
Archus was established in 2017 and has offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, London, and Leeds, Swansea, Dublin, and Cork. It is well-known for its work in the infrastructure of the healthcare industry. The company just received a £9 million infusion to support worldwide growth, but it also wants to show that it is dedicated to principles that go beyond the numbers on the financial sheet.

In order for the business to become a certified B-Corp, it had to undergo a thorough evaluation of how its operations affected its community, customers, employees, and the environment. It also had to legally enshrine its commitment to purpose above profit in its company articles. While passing the certification process calls for a benchmark score of at least 80.

“We are extremely pleased to have received B-Corp accreditation with an outstanding B-Impact score, which is representative of how much value we place on preserving ethical business practices,” said Shane Dineen, the managing director of Archus. This milestone affirms Archus’ unchanging commitment to environmental and social stewardship, not only by means of the work we do within the health care industry but also for the neighborhoods that we operate in. At Archus, that we have always held the view that building environmentally friendly medical infrastructure is about much more than merely physical structures.
