UK Mad at Russia: Ambassador Called in After Ukraine Hit by Missiles.

Kyiv woke up to a nightmare: fire, smoke, and never-ending sirens.

In the middle of the night, Russia launched a big attack, one of the worst since the war started. Lots of drones and missiles came fast and loud, hitting homes, schools, and even diplomatic spots.

At least 18 people died, including four kids. Families were destroyed in seconds, buildings were blown apart, and a shopping center was flattened. Kyiv looked more like a war zone.

The UK’s Response

London acted fast. Foreign Secretary David Lammy called in Russia’s ambassador, Andrey Kelin, and gave him a piece of his mind.

Lammy said that this awful attack on regular people has to stop. He spoke firmly, but you could tell he was angry.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer also spoke out, even more strongly. He said Moscow was killing kids and ruining any chance for peace. It felt like a breaking point, but Russia keeps going too far.

Europe’s Upset

Everyone was angry, from Brussels to Paris. The EU also called in Russia’s representative. Ursula von der Leyen called the attack terror, and Emmanuel Macron called it barbaric.

Their message? Enough is enough. More penalties are coming, the 19th set. Europe talked about using frozen Russian money to help Ukraine recover. It would be a big move if they do it.

Zelensky’s Take

President Volodymyr Zelensky didn’t hold back.

He told the world that Russia is choosing bombs over peace. He sounded tired but determined. For Ukrainians, this isn’t just politics; it’s about staying alive.

What’s Next?

Kyiv is digging out, and rescuers are looking for people in the wreckage. Parents are holding their kids in shelters, hoping tomorrow will be better.

The West has some clear choices: speak out, add restrictions, and maybe send more weapons. The attacks proved Russia isn’t stopping or even pretending to.

For the people in Kyiv, it’s another reminder that the war is far from over.
