Boeing and Ge aerospace He secured a $ 96 billion agreement to sell Qatar Airways up to 210 aircraft, said the White House on Wednesday.
The agreement for the 787 Dreamliner and the 777x plane driven by GE engines is the “largest and largest wide body order of Boeing and the largest 787 order,” according to the White House.
The colleagues reached the state of the duration of the Donald Trump agreement with the Qatar emir.
The White House said on an information sheet that the agreement will support 154000 jobs in the USA annually and more than 1 million total national jobs on the course of production and delivery of airplanes.
More details were not clear. Boeing did not respond immediately to CNBC’s requests.
Boeing has not yet delivered 777x airplanes. The 426 seats is a schedule of years and has not yet been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Boeing CEO, Kelly Ortberg, appeared with Trump at the Amiri Diwan in Doha on an early Wednesday for a signature ceremony in the Aircraft Agreement.
“It is the largest aircraft order in Boeing’s history,” Trump said after Ortberg signed the agreement.
The agreement could be a blessing for Boeing, which has not obtained profits since 2018.
The glider has been roasted by important safety conerns, manufacturing defects, excess costs and a machine strike of almost two months last year.
His businesses have also been interrupted by Trump’s commercial war: China stopped accepting deliveries or Boeing aircraft to their airlines in response to US tariffs, Ortberg said last month.
But the company has recently reduced its losses, since it addresses a portfolio of orders for a value of more than $ 500 billion, Ortberg said in the gain call of the first Boeing quarter.
The agreement announced on Wednesday would almost double the fleet of 233 Airways aircraft, according to its website.
It could also attract more scrutiny towards Trump’s acceptance, and defense, or Qatar’s sacrifice to give the United States a luxury jet 747 that will act as the new Air Force One.
Democrats have launched the measure as corrupt and unconstitutional, and some of Trump’s Republican allies in the government and the media have also expressed concern.
