Three people have stayed with serious injuries after a car crashed into the pedestrians in Leicester.
The police were called to the incident on Montfort Street in the city center at 00:34 BST on Saturday, after receiving reports from a fight in the same place.
The force said that a man suffered minor injuries from the incident, while another man and two women have serious injuries: the four remain in hopsital.
A 31 -year -old man from Leicester has been arrested under suspicion of causing serious bodily damage with intention and causing serious injury due to dangerous driving and remains in police custody.

Police believe that the suspect and the four victims involved in the incident had been present in a private event near the incident.
The car believed that it had bone involved in the incident was found in the nearby Margaret street and has recovered as part of the investigation, police said.
Det Trust Jenny Tattersall said: “We understand that the serious group will be about this incident.
“There is a large cord in the area of Montfort and Willin street while consultations are carried out, including forensic investigations.”
