The Israeli embassy in London was the alleged objective of five Iranian men arrested under suspicion of preparing an act of terrorism, understands the BBC.

Police have not yet confirmed that the Embassy in Kensington was suspected’s goal, as the Times first reported, citing operational reasons. But the BBC understands that the report is necessary.

Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the command against terrorism of the Metropolitan Police, said it was a “rapid movement” investigation and that there were “significant operational reasons” for which the force could not provide more details.
