Crystal Palace fans celebrated late at night after the historic Victoria of the Club Cup on Manchester City on Saturday.
The southern London team won 1-0, marking the first big trophy of the club in its history.
The 16 -minute goal of Ebeeechi Eze assured the victory, with ecstasy scenes that explode among fans throughout the capital and beyond when the full -time whistle flew.
“It’s an incredible day,” said a fan who was in Wembley to BBC London. “I have supported Palace for 46 years and I don’t know if I ever thought I will see this.
“Really the best day of my sports life.”
“Incredible,” added another. “I was here 35 years ago for the final of the Cup [defeat by Manchester United]. After winning it now, incredible, a really emotional day. “

While the city dominated possession, Oliver Glasner’s team held the seven -time winners out, with goalkeeper Dean Henderson saving Erling Haaland, Josko Gvardiol and Jeremy Doku in the first half and then denying Claudio Echeverri after the break.
When the club raised his first great trophy in his 120 -year -old professional history, there were tears of joy in the stands.
“I can’t believe it. It’s amazing, once in a lifetime,” said a fan of the crowd.
“When we have the opportunity to attack, we did it,” added another.
“I can’t believe we’ve won that, absolutely incredible.”

Outside the stadium, fans after the game on television and radio went crazy when the victory was confirmed.
In Croydon’s Boxpark, the followers who were watching the game on the big screen launched their drinks in the air when the referee exploded the final whistle.
“That was epic. I love this team, I love this city,” said a supporter, who was from Croydon.
“We cry. But hey, I’m 65 years old. If I cry, I cry.”
Another added: “Tears that I didn’t know had come out.”
“If we never win another game again, I don’t care now. I’m very happy,” said a third.
“We don’t do this, we don’t win trophies. This is surreal. In the palace,” said another.

After the game, a video of Palace Fan begins to shave his son in the stands in Wembley at the end of the game went viral on social networks.
“That’s what football is about,” he told the BBC. “That is what those moments should be with their loved ones and their children.
“That will live in me forever. I have experienced three cup finals with Palace, both were losses until yesterday.
“Maybe that could be the only time I can share that with my son. I could have gone the next time it happens, and he could be there alone. It was just a magical moment.”

The former Eagles midfielder, Paul Mortimer, told BBC Radio London that the victory was “huge” for southern London.
“The strange thing, the last time a goalkeeper in southern London saved a penalty, the trophy reached the south,” he said.
“It is a great arm in the arm for Crystal Palace and for southern London. It simply shows that there is a certain quality in Crystal Palace.
“There are players there who now know they can win, because they do it.”

A day after the game and a joyful atmosphere remains around the glass palace triangle.
Walking through the streets with his red and blue scarf of the palace was the lifelong fan Jamie Willard, who said he felt lucky to have attended the game.
“It was really really emotional. I am lucky to have been in some of those attempts in the FA cup beforehand, so you are a condition of conditioning, we are really pessimistic, we are not used to winning,” he explained.
“Everyone around us were just screaming, hugging, many families crying, it was simply brilliant.”
And that joy continues with the Eagles that announces that its official winners will take place on May 26.

‘It’s brilliant for southern London’
BBC Sport Phil Parry analysis analysis
What Crystal Palace, his manager and his players must congregate is how seriously they have the tasks of the FA Cup from the beginning, at the beginning of playing at the early doors of the stockport county.
Oliver Glasner played a strong team until the end and has not been shy to declare that Hey wants to go far, hey to win it if possible.
That belief that comes from the manager has spread to the field.
I think there was a growing belief before yesterday that they could win against Manchester City.
It is brilliant for football that someone different wins the FA Cup. It is brilliant for southern London and I think it has given a real impulse to the FA Cup.
