The force says that the position is related to an alleged assault, which, according to the reports, in a nightclub in London on February 19, 2023.
The 36 -year -old retention was arrested in a hotel in Manchester in the early hours of Thursday.
He remains in custody and must appear before the Manchester Magistrates court on Friday.
The R&B singer is currently on tour and is scheduled to play several shows throughout the United Kingdom in June and July.
