Chris Taylor was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday to clear a place on the Tommy Edman server, who was activated outside the decorative list and was in the initial alignment for the final of the Los Angeles of Los Angeles series.

Taylor, who played the three field points and the second base this season, is OED $ 13,435,484 of a contract of $ 60 million and four years Heydrein before the 2022 season. It is due to the remakes of $ 9,435,484 or its salary of $ 13 million this season and a purchase of $ 4 million of a Club 2026 option.

Taylor, who turns 35 in August, was the oldest player on the list after the Austin Barnes backup receiver was designated to assign Wednesday.

“This has been a very emotional week for all of us,” said Dodgers baseball operations, Andrew Friedman. “Barnesy and CT have one leg in the midst of some huge moments for this organization. Both left an indelible brand in our culture and where we are at this point, so the decisions were incredible.

“But where we are, the division career, the composition of our list, we feel that this was in the best interest of the Dodgers in terms of how to win so many games and put ourselves in position to better win a world series this year.”

Taylor had several large postseason hits for the Dodgers, including a Walk-Off homer that beat St. Louis in the 2021 NL Commodines game, three home runs in game 5 of the National League Championship Series against Atlanta and an initial homer in the 2017 World Series.

But he only had 35 appearances on the plate this season, hitting .200 (7 for 35) with two doubles and two races promoted in 28 games.

The emergence of the rookie Hyenseong Kim caused Taylor to have appeared, Kim beat .452 (14 by 31) in his first 14 games after being retired from Triple-A Oklahoma City and reached the base in nine consecutive appearances on the plate.

“Beyond how indebted it is for your teammates, only the energy it brings, the speed of the foot, the versatility too, is something that adds a lot to our list and a different appearance,” Friedman said on Kim. “A decision is never made in a vacuum. It is within the context of our list and where we are. And he has done a great job.”

Acquired from Seattle in an exchange of 2016, Taylor renewed his swing with the Dodgers and was a fixed element in the 2017-23 alignment, playing six positions and batting .256 with an OPS of .779, 103 home runs, 173 doubles and 391 driven races.

Taylor had a neck injury and fought to find his swing last year, hitting .202 with an OPS of .598 and 76 strikeouts in 87 games.

“He is the consummate professional,” said Friedman. “He has arrived hungry and wanting to improve and deaf with our lunches with our position coaches. He improved in the painting and the garden, and brought production in the batting box.

“It was a great part of the success that we have enjoyed and cannot say enough about the human, the worker, the teammate, the player. It is one of the difficult types I have been with.”

The right reliever Kirby Yates was placed on the 15 -day injury list, one day after forcing an hamstring against Los Angelinos. The Dodgers selected the contractor of the 33 -year -old right -year -old Lou Trivino de Oklahoma City.

Los Angeles will have to make another list move earlier this week when the right gardener Teoscar Hernández (Cie of the groin) is activated from the injured list. The Dodgers said that Kim Willain on the list after Hernández returns.
