Celtics stave off elimination with 127-102 win over Knicks in Game 5

Derrick White had 34 points, including seven triples, to lead the Boston Celtics to a victory of the 57-102 game over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night in the semifinals of the East Conference.

The Celtics connected in 22 triples to publish their first victory in the series of the series and first without Jayson Tatum after their tendon injury in the season.

The Knicks will try again to win the series on Friday in New York. If the Celtics win, game 7 would be in Boston on Monday.

Jaylen Brown added 26 points and 12 assists. Luke Kornet finished with 10 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks.

The Celtics seek to become the 14th team in the history of the NBA to return from a 3-1 deficit in 294 attempts.

Josh Hart led the Knicks with 24 points despite the fact that Letter left the game at the end of the first quarter to close a damn wound on his face after touching an inadvertent elbow.

Jalen Brunson added 22 points before dirtying with 7:19 to play in the game.
