The recognition of the House of Lords during the discussion of Monday, May 13 on the amendments to the Rolers Rights Law Project as it passes through the Committee’s stage in the Upper House, that the regulation of real estate agents (clothing) must be a reality has been Bepertymark.

However, The professional agency also requested a firm schedule from the United Kingdom government to implement mandatory qualifications for real estate agents.

Lord Best and other senior pairs made reference to Propertymark’s positions on this topic along with demanding professional standards and a market balance between private and vacation rental sectors.

After warning that billions of client’s money and millions of lives of the rolers are determined by the behavior of the agents, argued that the regulation is supported by role, owners, property properties and other sector organizations.

Propertymark has supported and defended the property agents for a long time to professionalize the sector, improve consumer protection and generate more confidence with owners and tenants.

He concluded that “those who would be regulated are as interested in regulation as those consumers who would be protected by him.”

The Undersecretary of Parliamentary State in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, Baroness Taylor de Stevenage, recognized the strength of feeling in the Chamber and referred to a written ministerial statement. As of November 2024, which committed the United Kingdom government to review the 2019 clothing report.

He added that the Ministry of Housing, Communities and the local government intends to implement minimum qualifications for the management of lease properties and opening domain properties through the broadly expected lease law and a common bill, however, refused to support amendments directly.

Lord Best also suggested another amendment that proposed a new legal requirement to plan the permit before changing a mortification lease to a short -term rental. Propertymark has long required the mandatory registration, the best transparency and planning restrictions to prevent the exponential growth of short -term rentals from impacting housing supply. The Leveling and Regeneration Law includes provisions for greater regulation of short -term students in England, including license schemes and planning controls. PROPERTYMARK says that these measures must be enacted together with the Rolers Rights Law Project to level the playing field.

In addition, Propertymark emphasized before the debate that periodic holdings with minimal notification periods, as suggested in the Rolers Rights Law, could be exploited to create short de facto letters, and that current regulatory and financial pressure could seect private private private private private private private private private private private private private private private prize.

Baroness Taylor said he intends to regulate students in the short term through a national registration scheme, but admitted that the scheme remains in development.

Timothy Douglas, head of policies and campaigns in Propertymark, said: “Propertymark is pleased to see continue acKnowledge from peers that is the time to the regulation of property agents. Although the uk government prefers a phedr Rolers’ Rights Bill, Legting Leaseholders, Changing Rules for Financial Sanctions Checks and Recent New Building and Fire Safety Requirements Means there are a waso Need for a coordination between disabled.

“These changes are important, but without regulating and increasing the standards of sales, rentals and management of agents that will implement these rules and work to the walkrs often at the beginning of their journey of housing and rental of housing, the government of the United Kingdom is doing a job in a job a job.

“We will continue working with ministers, officials, parliamentarians, colleagues and policy formulators to ensure that regulation becomes a reality and complements the proposals contained in the Role’s rights bill and a broader housing legislation.”
