Duration The first months after breast increase surgery, breasts generally suffer significant changes. Through this period, breasts are often seen and felt unnatural; For example, implants tend to sit in the chest, especially when they are placed partly under the muscle (submuscular or dual plane), and can also be hard to touch.

Allyhe may be discarded, this stage of the breast augmentation process is normal. Its implants will generally require time to “fall and fight” after the procedure; In other words, they must sit in their place. Next, our plastic surgeon consultant offers a Whaty Women Experience during this time.

For approximately two weeks after your increase, you probably notice a certain amount of swelling. As the swelling is resolved and the tissues loosen up, the implants must “fall” into a lower position in the chest and fill the lower post of the breast. After dropping, implants should begin to look and feel more natural and acquire more fullness of lower post (the part of the process knows as “spongy”). From there, the nipples often begin to project forward or even up, since more volume fills the lower post of the breast.

The period of time it takes for implants to settle varies from one patient to another. In some cases, it can only take a few weeks, in others, it can take up to several months. Sometimes, one breast can fall and fight faster than the other. The process tends to take longer with larger implants, patients with minimal skin and implants placed under the pectoral muscle (that is, those that were placed through submuscular or “dual plane” techniques).
