The digital-physical hybrid format of London Fashion Week (LFW) September 2023 is scheduled to run from September 15–19, 2023. A total of 137 businesses will be featured at the fashion event with 111 in-person and 36 digital activations.
The event intends to offer a wide range of programming, including 49 catwalk displays, 15 lectures, and 47 events, directed by the 82 designers that are confirmed to participate. The digital DiscoveryLAB, which was developed in 2018 to support young designers who have not yet met the requirements for the main schedule, is a standout aspect of the event. According to a press release from the British Fashion Council (BFC), it welcomes 15 new designers this year, including Marianava and Adrianne Weber, giving them a chance to stand out.

A number of companies, such as Denzilpatrick and Kilentar, are making their debuts this season, in addition to a large number of BFC NewGen designers who are showcasing their works at LFW for the first time. The old Selfridges Hotel will resuscitate the The BFC NewGen Show Space.

The ‘Support Ukrainian Fashion’ campaign, which was launched by LFW and Ukrainian fashion week in the wake of the war, will also be highlighted, showcasing the creations of Ukrainian designer like Elenareva and Kseniaschnaider.

During the City Wide Celebration, which runs from September 13–19, Londoners are in for an unprecedented celebration of creativity and innovation. It has approximately 450 activations from 150 businesses, all of which promise to engage the public fully.

‘Rebel: thirty years of London Fashion’, a funded by Alexander McQueen & curated with Sarah Mower MBE exhibition, also debuts in conjunction with LFW. The exhibit, a result of a partnership involving BFC and the Design Museum, honors the BFC NewGen highlighting initiative’s 30th anniversary by highlighting the careers of over 300 emerging British designers who left a lasting impression on the world of fashion.

Limited edition totes created by alumnus designers in collaboration with Bags of Ethics that capture the spirit of BFC NewGen add to the festive ambiance. In the accessories industry, TONI&GUY, LABEL.M, & NewGen 30 collaborated to create sustainability velvet designer cosmetics bags, which were released on the first week of the LFW at TONI&GUY.
