I have used a series of Garmin watches over the years, from the precursors to the FENIX models, but this was the first time I tested the Venu range (Child Ly by very.co.uk to try).
Garmin Running Smartwatch Venu 3s
The execution of the watches vary greatly both in price and reliability. You can pay hundreds of a clock in which you only use a small number of its characteristics, or you can get a cheaper watch that does not need it. I put the Garmin Venu 3S test to see if I could resist the demands for marathon training …
I am focusing mainly on the side of the clock characteristics, for a very deep technological review, I recommend that Drain Maker. He deepens many features that I will never use (or I care!) But if you do, read!

I will be the first to admit that I go for a first clock, it is seen first and functionality in second place. I want to be able to use most of the time, whether I am running, in the gym, the work or trying to assemble an attire that is not not that it is not, it is not that I cannot do not that I cannot not say Lycra. I really like the soft gold and ivory version that I obtained, it feels like a more elegant version of the Fenix 7s (although I am excited to try Fenix 8!) And it is certainly more a lifestyle watch than the Pace 3 choirs.
Venu 3 (45 mm) is also available as a slightly larger clock face option compared to VENU 3S (41 mm).

There are bones in some changes in Venu 3 since the latest version, including more sports added to its range, which more or less adds the open water swimming feature, since it is still significant that the most expensive fenix range and comparable price precursors.
Some significant improvements in Venu 2 to 3 include the addition of HRV (heart rate variability), sleep score and sleep training, body battery and morning/night reports that collect your data.
Is Venu 3s good for runners?
I have had good experiences with GPS and Garmin’s functionality in its range when it comes to running watches. However, I recently changed to a choir when my last Fenix broke and I am impressed with the speed and precision of GPS choirs. I compared the Garmin Venu 3S with the Pace 3 choirs when it came to GPS and did not find a big difference in my usual careers in reading. I found in the city of London that Garmin Venu 3S was more generous with its distance than the choirs, or other people who run the watches in Ourhly Westin London City Run (Unique us the first Thursday of each month!)
There are sensors for heart rate monitors, Garmin’s foot pods (useful for those who train a lot in running tapes and want precise data) plus a recently added cycling power meter for runners with triathlon aspirations.
Pros
Battery life
At 10-14 days, Venu 3 will face a week of marathon training, even. Your long career,
Garlic
If you use your career watch all day, then you want something that looks good. Rose and ivory gold conform to its lycra as barrel jeans and jeans with leopard print. I also like the two size options for those with narrower dolls.
Quality
With Garmin products you always get high quality articles and this is no exception.
AMOLED screen
The “organic light diodes of the active matrix” basically looks really elegant, and the touch screen works quickly, is bright and easy to read in motion and has beautiful colors.
Speaker and microphone
Which means you can receive calls from your watch and use guided meditation and music on your wrist. The clock can store Spotify and Amazon Music reproduction lists, however, it has no LTE support.
Ease of use
A combination of touch screen and three buttons on the side of the clock help with the interactions of the screen and avoid accidentally stopping its execution with the sleeve.

Conservation
There is no characteristic of trails
To be honest, this was a big problem for me. I do not use it, since custom begins my races on the roads, even if many of them tend to end on the paths of the river.
Cost
I think £ 449-499 is quite expensive for this Garmin model. Very.
No preparation scores or training status
If you like other Garmin models, then you could miss in the Venu range.
No personalized training suggestions
Although it has access to the full range of Garmin Connect’s training plans and a small number of training prepared in the Venu 3 clock.

So what is the verdict?
I read a review at Runner’s World that suggested that this watch was more suitable for 5k runners than marathoners … as well as an experienced marathoner, this does everything he would do because doing. Maybe I am underutilizing the characteristics, but do we really not want to track the executions, give us an idea or our steps and have enough battery life to last a week or complete training?
I found rhythm tracking and quite reliable and comparative satellites with Pace 3 choirs, and I love that I can send training to the clock or use Garmin’s training plans and the Garmin Coach function directly. Yes, it does not have the preparation scores for training, but I am sincere, the usual. Ignore that anyway.
In any case, it is the cost that could be unpleasant to the VENU 3 specany when comparing this tracker/physical conditioning clock with the Garmin Forerunners currently focused on the market as a market as Freerunner 55 for less than £ 200. or the FENIX 7S very high (but very beautiful but very beautiful), or the FENIX 8S recently launched!
In general, the aspect and the characteristics of the career and fitness of this elegant watch obtain a thumb from me, whatever their career goals!
What features do you use more on your watch in operation? And do you use your career watch only in the race or all day every day like me?
