In my opinion, marathon specialties are special. All marathons are special in their own way, but there is something in the specialties that I love. The additional rate of fans, events before the day of the race, the ‘stash’. It is the equivalent of the golf career or tennis specialties. They are simply bigger, there is more emotion around them.
And this year’s Boston marathon did not disappoint.
Boston Marathon 2024 Race Reca
This was the second time and the third time in Boston for the Marathon, and there seemed to be more shaking, emerging stores and events this year than in previous years. It was difficult to track everything and not exaggerate before Monday’s marathon.
I was a child given my TCS bib and, therefore, I had a fun race with the elite corridor set up Fischer along the Charles River next to a filming team. Check out the reel they made of us. In addition to joining the Westin X Abbott World Shake Out marathon specialties.

We stayed at the Westin Copley Place (not a sponsored stay, Jenna, Books, almost a year in advance!) I honestly believe that they are the best place to stay, since they have an excellent set prepared for the Walhy area, a preacher dinner and a prospective dinner and a preacher prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner and a prospective dinner. Breakfast prior to the race
- Oats and bagel late with cream cheese in the hotel
- Precision and hydration fuel carbohydrolite drink on the bus
- Another bael, banana and rice Krispie Square plus 1/2 Gatorade while waiting for the beginning

As part of the TCS Run entrance, VIP buses and hospitality were given access to the beginning. My friends Robbie and Kyle were also in these buses/start, which made the races do a lot of nerves, just when the bus lost! We spend 3 hours while we hope that our beginning of 11.15 am
Walking to the exit line it was clear that it was going to be a hot day. I had released my drums before leaving the hospitality area and was nervous because I had brought enough sodium with me.
How the temperature is lowered
Ash had suggested that, given the temperatures of the day of the races, they began to reach their maximum point when I started, to launch a cup of water on my station to help cool, and I decided to take a cup of Gatorade at each station to make sure I was hydrated. In addition, I honestly believe that both adjustments helped so much, although my hair was a total nest of birds at the end of the race.
I think it was in a sub 4 form that is around a 9 -minute mile, but with heat and hills (and the beginning downhill) in Boston, I wanted to leave conservatively for the first 10K, with the aim of a rhythm of 9.15. In addition, I saw Matteser in the course and wanted to have stopped to get a photo (for my partner Crossfit Doc Nerds), then I realized after seeing the videos of my phone that I was running in the next Sammy wood for a little of the races.

How I fed the race

Around mile 17 I saw a portalo without queues and decided to climb a little. Despite how much I was sweating, obviously I would drink Queen a little while waiting for the beginning and course. That mile was my slowest of the day at 9.57, but it was worth feeling more comfortable when I ran. (When I ran Boston in 2017, I knew that Sub 4 would be very tight, so I urinated in my shorts!)
I am so lucky to have had my mother and Tom in many of my marathons. It seems to me a great impulse that they are ongoing and they take care of them. With most of my friends running the races on Monday, I knew I had to hold on to see Chris and Elle de Westin and the TCS team in Mile 20.

One of the things I fought later in the race was to see many people walking … and wanting to walk!
The heat had Caht with many runners and unfortunately I also saw some who were receiving medical attention. Many people were surviving at this time in the marathon, trying to stand and move forward. It may be difficult to continue in those last miles when your body (my quads!) You shout you that you stop, I also knew that my time goal in the 4 years had gone that it was difficult to continue running when so many others walked. But I knew that I would take longer and, as you have seen on my Instagram, one of my main objectives was not to lose my flight that night!
What I used
I made a decision of the game of using the Nike Alphafly 3. I thought they were looking for a PB and since it was going to be a hot day, I did a lot to lose (except to limit it!). So, I appreciated that I had no problem with the cramps. Or ampoules – Complete review of shoes soon. Lululemon’s shorts were an old version of the fast and free shorts because unfortunately the new eraation rode at the front.
And Tracksmith’s tank was another last minute decision, but I loved it. Tracksmith makes high quality pieces and its main marathon collections are always very successful in the design, Althehegh, they are expensive. We get rid of the Tracksmith store in Newbury St on Friday morning, as it opened to obtain part of Boston’s stash, some pieces had already been exhausted in the previous sale to the members!
After the race, I discovered some irritation of my bra, however, considering that I spent the whole race pouring water on my head, I escaped with just a minimum of friction!

Those last miles in my quads felt like the limiting factor, and I spent many of those miles promising that it would spend more time in the gym when I trained for the Berlin marathon this summer.
That final stretch along Boylston is so special: I love that crowds can approach both the finish line in the Boston marathon (they limit access much more in London). I tried to run that final stretch, but it turns out that it was only marginally faster than my rhythm of fury and I showed that I really had all that day. In addition, I ended in 4.05. I exploded in tears immediately after crossing the finish line only to detect TCS photographers about me.

After finishing, with the rest of the TCS team and Rode gave me my medal.
I had stupidly forgotten my fall in the races that my sandals and protein drinks had after the race, so I limited in my career shoes and tried to go down with another place for hydration purposes. We are in the completion area for Robbie to finish and then return to the hotel to obtain a complete report of all the girls. Everyone had run more slowly than they wanted to Toar, such was the day.
My biggest mistake was not to eat or hydrate. Well, after the races (I did not ate more than a package of fried potatoes until I was at the airport) and impacted my recovery, I think. My resting heart rate was tall all week and touched 7 full days for my legs to recover. A reminder of not forgetting. Your fuel after the race!
For me, this marathon training block was the construction of the base, discovering how to balance the raising of children/work/Tom out of the race, and the son of finding the fire to pursue my career goals. While the objective of the sub 4 did not happen, it would call the construction of a real success. And now I’m focused on running in Berlin …
Thank you very much to Global TCS for the talented drool. I had the best weekend!
