Adidas Adizero EVO SL Shoe Review

In Health
May 04, 2025

There are not many shoes that run a marathon from the box in …

Ok, that is a bit liar, because unless I am running for a while, I am generally willing to put things to the search or a good opportunity for review.

But the sincere there are not many carbon shoes in which a marathon ran without rigorously trying them first. (Maybe the Asics Superblast 2. Although I made a 18 and 20 mile in them to see if I wanted to use them in Berlin, the complete review soon).

So, with the idea that putting 26.2 miles in the coaches Adizero Evo SL (plus two shock races) would be a good way trying them, and the fact that they really looked with my outfit, I went with them on the day of the race.

Inspired by the original adidas, record, the pro -Evo 1, the adizero Evo SL is for each corridor, not only for the elites. This is not a unique wear shoe of £ 450. These are designed to be trained, runs, for long races or collecting the rhythm (although they look very similar!)

Lightstrike Pro Foam, according to Adidas, is designed to provide cushioning and comfort for an optimal return of energy without carbon rods.

The upper part and the necklace are more substantial than their plays on the day of the race, which makes sense since you are likely to put more and tear in your daily shoe. The necklace is firmer than pro 4 (having felt, do not run in it!) But not as rigid as Adizero Boston 11.

The upper part is a thicker mesh that is more stable and support, while the finger falls is 7 mm (39m in the set and 32 mm in the forefoot). It feels enough for my very striking career style and my pile for a really comfortable career. Personally, I like a decent amount of damping, even in faster races (ha, what are those? The port has not done anything * fast * in a long time!) And they provide a luxurious trip without that feeling of shoes that much padded gas.

Pros

Cost

The shoes have Goths Reaxly Ejosario and I would not have surprised me if they had a price of around £ 200. They will be for sale for £ 130 when they are launched today. (Update: They were exhausted immediately. Personally, I think that is a good value!

Weight

These are the lighter shoes of the Adidas training shoes line. With only 224 g for a size 8.5uk, they feel very light despite being 86 g heavy more than Evo 1 carbon shoes.

Sizing

These arose faithful to size, I used my Carrera 6.5 UK shoe size. I also have a broader foot and had no pinches point with thesis. Adidas shoes tend to appear quite narrow in many of their styles. But I had no problem in the thesis. I obtained a little blister on the day of the race. But I think that can have more legs due to my socks, which by the way were also new, shouts.

Conservation

Only

I discovered that they put a little slippery in the subsequent internships of the water stations. While they have continental rubber in the sole, it is the continental rubber (Conti Winter) in the forefoot and the rubber Cl (transparent rubber) on the back. Now I don’t know what the difference is, but I wonder if I found them a little more slippery like a very front, aspiring towards the end of the races when my shape would have a bit careless.

I am not sure how they would face the slippery roads, a British autumn/winter, especially with the coverage of the leaf. I would not say a hybrid shoe. I wield my road shoes to the boundary on the path of Thames, but I will keep so strictly pavement.

Glide

Someone mentioned this in the Shake out race. And Althegh did not experience any problem with the visual team after a couple of minutes used by the coaches that the language had slipped. He would have a surprising bone if he had reflected on the bones.

Adidas suggests that these shoes are designed to run and when you are not. Personally, that was the case. I did not find that they were a shoe that would collect to use tourism/for an exhibition. Or another long day on my feet. And for those who seek more stabilization/support, the upper part does not provide much. But I had no problems on the day of the races or in the miles that I have registered subcontronient (I have run about 50 miles in the last month).

In general, I really like the thesis as a great shoe and affordable. I think that Adidas has done a fabulous job in the creation of something that not only looks at the part, but really functions as a versatile shoe to train and for those who do not want to leave for carbon veneer, a race day shoe.

While I really like the shoe, I hate these first limited pitches a bit and then the complete releases 6 months later. There are limited pairs for sale today before the complete launch in March 2025!
