Raising the ashes (and peanut shells) or the bankruptcy of Chapter 11, the iconic spot Kid-Bearthdayday of the 1980s back.

The X-Rers can remember many meals in this place, which presented cartoons projected on the walls, and peanut bowls on the table whose shells were encouraged to throw to the ground. (The peanuts were replaced by corn palomites). Children loved the ice cream Sunday served in mini plastic baseball helmets, and parents loved their promotion to “pay what weighs”, where only one pound loaded.

Unfortunately, like everything wonderful of our childhood, the land round hit the skates. At its peak, it had more than 200 locations. In 2004, he declared himself in bankruptcy, and in recent years, he has bone of only four locations: three in North Dakota and one in Ohio.

But the street reports that land operations do not stop.

Entrepreneurs Joseph and Nachi Shea bought the rights of the name and IP of the chain, and have opened a new location in their hometown of Clewsbury, Massachusetts. And the scale is back (on Tuesday, and it is optional to use it or real course).

According to the chain’s website, “The reimagined and reinvented Ground Round” is “a place where you can relive memories of great distance while savoring a reflexive meal prepared and high quality. It is not just a return; it is a resurgence.”

Unfortunately, the baseball helmet ice cream is not mentioned in the menu, but here we hope they feel it.
