The EdTech Playbook Hits

In Education
June 04, 2025

It is a leg for a while I published for the last time here. Not because there has been something to say, quite the opposite. It is a bone a year without reborn, full of work that matters to me, but also the child who does his price when he does not stop to take stock. So, here I am, finally pauses to mark something that serves a moment.

Edtech’s Play Book Not only is he out and available in all good books, but he has also reached number one in the list of Amazon’s best selling and with 6 five -star reviews!

Above some serious titles of serious people. That our book sits with each other, much less above the subject, is something that I am really proud, not because of the Itelf ranking, but because it points out.

We set out to write a practical and honest guide for teachers, leaders and those who try to make sense of how to use technology in schools. Without tricks, without silver bullets (they do not exist), only a thought based on years of classroom experience, strategic implementation and observe what works (and what is not not) in hundreds of schools and trusts.

And it was just Olly Lewis and me. The book owes a lot to more than 40 incredible taxpayers who brought information, clarity and weight of the real world to its pages. I am very grateful to each topic. The quality of your thinking elevates the book much beyond what we could have achieved on our own.

Liz Bury, our editor, also deserves a special thanks. She brought sharpness, cohesion and structure that leads to something I am proud to have my name.

What this tells me is simple: there is a real appetite for the substance; A more strategic and sensible conversation about Edtech and AI in education. One that does not resort to tired myths, or the new clothes of the digital emperor of people with little knowledge, experience or understanding of what works real, but focuses on good teaching and solid leadership. One that sees technology as a powerful tool Only when used with purpose (Or at least I hope that is the case!).

We also care, not because it is a badge, but because it is a sign that our work, the hard patios of hard work, difficult conversations, digital strategy, staff development and clarity at class level are going through.

Thanks to all who bought the book, they recommended or left a review. If he has helped, I would love to know about you. And if the port yet picked it up, you will find it here.
