The forum is a collaborative network co -chaired by DCMS and Sue Daley, Director of Technology and Innovation at Techuk.
It is open for anyone to participate, and exists to ensure that a variety of perspectives beyond the government and the continuous public sector to inform the implementation of the national data strategy.
The co -president of the Sue Daley forum reflects:
‘The National Data Strategy Forum has been central to gather and deceive the United Kingdom data community through workshops, web seminars and panel events. It has a form of dates so that the leaders of the dates sacrifice the contributions, share experiences, best practices and ask questions and concerns about key issues that are vital to ensure that we deliver a data strategy that supports innovation, generates trust and works for all, trust and works for everyone, trust and work for all, confe each.

Insights of our latest web seminar of the NDS forum: public attitudes towards the data and the AI
Public Trust is crucial to unlock the potential benefits of the best use of data; Without it, organizations will lack trust to invest in innovative technologies based on data and the public will not opt for or adopt. That is why it is so important to understand public attitudes towards data.
In November we executed a web seminar discussing the latest ideas of The public attitudes of CDEI towards the data and the AI: Tracking Survey (Wave 2)which is the first survey in the world to track how attitudes towards data and AI vary over time.
The deputy director of CDEIS, Louise Sheridan, and the head of public attitudes Hannah Spiro shared some key findings of the last wave of the survey. We listen, for example, that economy and health are considered both the priority problems facing the United Kingdom and the areas with greater opportunities for the use of data.
We welcome Sue Bateman, Data Director of the Central Data and Data Office (CDDO) and Aidan Peppin, Senior researcher, Ada Lovelace Institute, to join a discussion panel that explores the findings and reflecting on what more public and private organizations. Wear.
We listen to SUE on the United Kingdom National Standard to inform the use of algorithmic tools in the public sector – The algorithmic transparency standard of the CDDO. And Aidan shared ideas from ‘Who cares what the public thinks?“; Document of the Ada Lovelace Institute that establishes the body of evidence on the public attitudes of the United Kingdom towards the regulation of data and data -based technologies.
