Lawyers, real estate agents and immigration experts report a strong increase in the interest of rich and high profile Americans who seek to move to Britain, buy properties or ensure the second citizenship as “insurance policy” against Trump.
“The number of consultations has gone through the ceiling in recent months,” says Ceri Vokes, fiscal partner of the London Withers law firm. “There is definitely a desire to diversify away from the United States. London is a natural place for which they come.”
According to reports, the consultations of US clients who consider relocation have been tripled so far in 2025 compared to the same period in previous years. Meanwhile, Kelvin Tanner immigration partner of Charles Russell Speechlys says that the consultations of millionaires and billionaires have doubled, particularly among those in technology and finance.

Jamie Arrowsmith, director of UK International University, says that the Higher Education system with insufficient funds from the United Kingdom can face to absorb the growing interest of international academics and students.
“If the leading research talent wants to choose the United Kingdom, then we should welcome you,” he says. “But the great challenge is that the United Kingdom is not exempt from its own uncertainties.”
Immigration lawyers also point out that investor and business visas routes are still limited, creating barriers even for high -level network of network who seek to establish themselves.
