GB & NI TEAM ALL SET FOR EUROPEAN RUNNING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

The first edition of the European Running Championship will take place in Brussels-Leuven from April 12 to 13, 2025. For the first time in a European athletics championship, the masses will join the elites in the departure line.

A team of 13 athletes will represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland (GB & Ni) in these championships through the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K Events.

The championships will begin with the Half Marathon on Saturday. Hannah Irwin (Gavin Pavey, Cambridge and Coleridge) will be the only representative of the GB and Ni team. Natasha Phillips (Vince Wilson, Dundee Hawkhill) and Ben Connor (Derby) have retired since they were selected for the half marathon.

On Sunday morning he will begin with the 10K event, which will see the medalist of the Olympic Triathlon of Paris, Beth Potter (Shaftesbury Barnet), use the GB & vest or again; His last departure on the track was in the London World Championship in 2017. He is one of the six women looking to compete in Leuven.
