Zara has been identified as the leading retailer in the apparel sector by an annual assessment that examined key performance factors for more than 300 clothing brands.
The Salience Search Marketing research examined 11 significant performance factors, including brand recognition and trends in visibility search traffic over time.
The five most well-known brands in the market are the retailer Zara, M&S, H&M, NEXT, and Boohoo, according to a survey that examined the monthly searches of each brand and calculated an owned social score for each.
The research shows that Zara is the industry leader in terms of brand awareness, with more than 91 million online followers and a sizable 1,830,000 brand searches every month. Additionally, a meme account for the apparel company’s well-known “unusual poses” emerged, which increased brand recognition.
With more than eight million social media followers and 5,000,000 brand searches every month, Marks and Spencer is the second most well-known brand in the industry.
Despite predictions that e-commerce is declining, here have been a seven percent rise in total organic development within the sector, demonstrating that consumers are still eager to shop online.
Since June 2022, the visibility of Sainsbury’s apparel line Tu has decreased by 29%. However, NEXT saw the largest rise in organic visibility, up 26% year over year.
Additionally, the paper analyzed the patterns that are influencing online searches. For instance, ‘Stussy hoodie’ has experienced a 169% spike in searches, which is the largest increase.
With more than 200,000 views for the hashtag #stussyhoodie via TikTok in the past month, the apparel item has recently gained attention on social media.
Salience Search Marketing’s Managing Director, Brett Janes, said in a statement: “Over 300 clothing companies were evaluated for this report, making it Salience’s most comprehensive analysis to date. Given an uptick of 7% in organic traffic and a sizable number of searches and visibility, it has been a good year overall for the sector.
The ability to adapt to shifting trends and establish an effective online presence across a variety of channels is essential for boosting sales and taking advantage of the growing market demand.
