Adelya’s journey, like all others, started with an idea – to create jewellery for her friends and family; individual pieces created with love and passion.
Inspired by the mystique and architecture of the Orient and charged with the aura of mystery and exoticism that surrounds it, Adelya started making her first pieces in 2010. What set her apart is her architectural background, which allowed her to pay particular attention to aesthetics to create truly dazzling pieces.
“Growing up in places such as Samarkand and Dubai helped me appreciate the rich culture and evolution of architecture and architectural sculpture,” she says. “From there, I decided to create jewellery with similar exotic, beautiful design elements as a way of bringing sculptural appreciation to a smaller, more accessible scale.” International meetings with clients and craftsmen in Paris, Moscow and Hong Kong further fuelled her imagination and drive to create unique and inspired jewellery.
Reflecting the rich colours and intricate cultures of the Orient and Adelya’s architectural flair, her designs truly transport the wearer to a land of fantasy. She has brought a taste of the Orient across Asia to places as far afield as Europe and America. The pieces, standout in their colours and designs, have graced the pages of some of the world’s most iconic mastheads, including Vogue, Tatler, ELLE, Grazia and Harper’sBazaar.
