Emma Raducanu’s visit sees Carlos Alcaraz open up as promise made to new partner

Carlos Alcaraz has talked about his association of mixed doubles with Emma Raducanu, while promising to go and see the British No. 1 in action between now and the United States open.

Carlos Alcaraz has expressed his delight for having Emma Raducanu in the stands to support him after reaching the final of the HSBC championship. Alcaraz, 22, surpassed his Spanish partner Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 6-4 to reach the final in Queens.

He will face Big Sirring Jiri Leheckka on Sunday afternoon at Andy Murray Arena, where a victory would give the perfect impulse in his defense of the Wimbledon title. The Spanish had many fans in the crowd that encouraged him, including a particularly illustrious in Raducanu.

When referring to his future company in Doubles, Alcaraz said: “I am very excited about that. I think it will be great. It was an incredible idea for the tournament. I was thinking that I could play better if it were not with Emma.

“I just asked Emma if Shey played double with me. Yes, I made that special request. She touched a time to answer.

“I met Emma for a long time. I have a very good relationship with her. We will enjoy it safely. We will try to win. But it will obviously be a reason, very fun.”
