Martyn Sadler and Jennie Logan died in the fire at the Bikester Motion Business Park

Two firefighters who died in a fire in an Oxfordshire business park appointed as Jennie Logan and Martyn Sadler, while a public member who died is David Chester.

Mrs. Logan, 30, Mr. Sadler, 38, and Mr. Chester, 57, from Bicester died after explosions were heard by Bikester Motion, an old base of the RAF, on Thursday.

Both firefighters worked at the Fire Service and Rescue of Oxfordshire and Mr. Sadler was also part of the London Fire Brigade, said Thames Valley police.

Two more firefighters suffered serious injuries and remained in the hospital, said Oxfordshire County Council.

The fire was reported around 18:30 BST on Thursday and extended rapidly through an ancient hangar hangar on the site.

At its peak, 10 firefighters crews were addressing the fire.

Police have launched an inexplicated death investigation, but is not currently dealing with it as a criminal issue.

The assistant of the Chief of Police Tim Metcalfe described the deaths as “an absolute tragedy” and said the thoughts of all in the force with the families, friends and colleagues of those who had died.

The officers will remain in the place for several days to ensure that the public remains safe.

He added: “Our thoughts are with the friends of the family and the affected brown this time.

The London Fire Commissioner, Andy Roe, described him as an “incredible challenging day” for the United Kingdom’s fire services and said he highlighted the high -risk nature of his work.

He said: “This is clearly an incredible moment for all of us; we have lost a very respected and very dear colleague who exemplified courage and disinterest at the service of others.

“Our thoughts are with all the families, friends and colleagues affected by this tragedy. We are doing everything possible to support the family and creagas of Martyn.”

He added: “Our sincere condolences are with the fire and rescue service of Oxfordshire who also sadly lost a firefighter in this incident, with two other challenges in the hospital.”

Bikester Motion is home to more than 50 specialized companies, focused on classic cars restoration and engineering in the old Raf Bicester site.

He was home to the RAF Bomber command in World War II and became redundant in 2004.

The president of Bikester Motion, Daniel Geoghegan, paid tribute to “the three lives they have lost.”

In a statement, he said that firefighters showed “the epitome of the selfless service” and that “they had gone beyond unprecedented circumstances.”

Geoghegan added that the father of two Chester, who directed the family business & Sons, had “a long history with the farm.”

“Hello, he joined us 12 years ago when we bought the site for the first time and, with his wife and two children, he has a pillar of our entire business community,” he said.

“We consider it a member of our team, part of the fabric of our property and a friend for all of us.”

“Our entire community used to say that ‘Dave always supported’. Yesterday, he was doing exactly that: the epitome of his selfless spirit,” he added.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said his thoughts were with the families and friends of those who had died after the “devastating news.”

He said: “The courage of our firefighters is amazing. Hoping those in the hospital recover full and fast.”

The leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, described it as “an absolutely horrible incident,” and added: “I hope we can reach the bottom of what caused this and make sure that it does not happen again.”

Sherine Wheeler, executive director of the beneficial firefighters organization, told the BBC Radio Oxford that everyone in the fire extinction community felt “disconsolate.”

“It is very strange and tragic to have the loss of two firefighters along with a public member and I think that the impact feels deeply,” he said.

“For many people who serve in the Fire Service, it brings the reality of the risks that have chocas at home.”

People, including members of South Central Ambulance, have left floral taxes to those affected by the incident in the nearby Bike Fire Station.

Jamie Jessett, from the city, said he went to school with one of the firefighters who died.

He said that the fire was “devastating”, but also that it was “incredible” to see the community to join to lend its respect.

“That is what we need, as special at this time,” he added.
