The “Tank of Shark” lung tank, Barbara Corcoran, 76, announced last week she was putting her beloved attic in New York City in the market for $ 12 million, and the apartment almost immediately found a buyer.

According to the last report of the Luxury Market of Olshan, Corcoran’s duplex penthouse in 1158 Fifth had multiple bidders and was sold for the sale price within 24 hours after the list. The final price paid by the unit and the identity of the new owner is still unknown, but it will be revealed as soon as the agreement is closed.

The property was one of the 36 contracts signed last week in Manhattan with a value of $ 4 million or more, according to Olshan’s report.

“Real estate are always emotional, but I never thought about saying goodbye to this beautiful palace in heaven,” Corcoran wrote on Instagram last week. “I just hope that the special person who bought it appreciates it as much as I!”

The 4,600 square feet cooperative and 11 rooms have four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two bathrooms. Monthly maintenance rates are $ 11,693.32. Corcoran listed the property with Corcoran Group, the real estate firm that he founded in 1973 and sold in 2001 for $ 66 million.

Corcoran saw the attic for the first time in 1992, when he was delivering letters for a messaging service such as a side hustle. The terrace of the apartment was impressed with views of Central Park, and asked the then owner of the house to call if they ever thought of the unit.

Corcoran is moving from the duplex penthouse and towards a single floor to save her and her husband, Bill Higgins, 80, the trip up and down the stairs. The duo has already found a single -floor apartment in the same Carnegie Hill neighborhood.

Corcoran previously revealed that he earns $ 300,000 as an investor of “Shark Tank”, but Usuary invests about $ 1 million per year in new companies that come in the program. He also declared that he earns $ 4.5 million annually of his shares, bonds and other investments.

Corcoran has been in “Shark Tank” for 16 years and has closed 650 agreements in the program.
