Anthony Edwards returns to Game 2 after spraining his left ankle

Anthony Edwards left game 2 of the semifinal series of the West Conference of the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Golden State Warriors after maintaining a left ankle sprain in the middle of the second quarter.

The Timberwolves led 37-19 with 6:36 removed in the second quarter when Edwards tried a left-handed tray in transition. Trayce Jackson-Davis, who successively challenged Edwards, landed on his ankle, the weight of the big man of the Warriors, which makes him turn, awkwardly.

Edwards lost the rest of the first half and the Timberwolves announced their return status as questionable, but could start the second half.

Edwards, 23, three times All-Star, has shown resilience when it comes to mid-game injuries in this postseason. He suffered an ankle injury in game 4 of the First Round series of the Timberwolves with the Los Angeles Lakers when LeBron James undermined him as he dusk for a loose ball. Edwards fought for pain to lead a victory back to the fourth quarter for Minnesota.

Try to do the same on Thursday night.
