Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang gets first salary raise in a decade

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has won tens of billions of dollars in recent years since his participation in the chips manufacturer, but is obtaining his first salary increase in a decade.

The Huang base salary increased to $ 1.5 million, an increase of 49% since 2024, according to a proxy presentation against SEC on Thursday. Its variable cash also increased by $ 1 million, or 50%, since fiscal year 2024. The awards of shares grew to $ 38.8 million, which brought the total payment to $ 49.9 million.

The compensation committee “believed that this was appropriate in consideration of the internal salary heritage with the base salaries” of other senior executives, the presentation said, and “represented the salary increase of Mr. Huang’s first base in 10 years.”

Nvidia is in the middle of a tree that has made it one of the most valuable companies in the world, thanks to its graphics processing units (GPU) that feed the most powerful artificial intelligence work models and loads. Income in fiscal year 2025 increased 114% to $ 130.5 billion, the company reported in February.

Huang’s 2025 payment also included $ 3.5 million in safety and residential consultation rates and driving services, the company said in the filling. In the previous year, residential security and consultation rates for Huang totaled $ 2.2 million.
