The only golf club to have staged four Ryder Cups, The Belfry’s famous Brabazon course has a rich history of titanic battles between the world’s greatest golfers.

The Brabazon, one of three courses that comprise the luxurious Belfry golf resort near Sutton Coldfield, has also hosted 20 European Tour events and will add to that tally in August when it welcomes the Betfred British Masters for the fourth successive year.

The Belfry is also home to the Professional Golfers Association.

Newly built to host the swimming and diving competitions for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, state-of-the-art facility Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Smethwick contains an Olympic-size swimming pool and a 10-metre diving platform with 25-metre pool.

After the Games, the venue was reconfigured as a publicly accessible leisure centre but it retains permanent seating for 1,000 spectators for competitive meets. It will be hosting the British Elite Junior Diving Championships from April 11-14.

Benefiting from unrivalled transport connectivity, the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) is the UK’s largest exhibition venue, with 182,000 sqm of flexible space.

Adjacent to the main venue, the Resorts World Arena is a world-leading entertainment venue that hosts events ranging from music concerts to show jumping. This year it welcomes two major esports championships.

The Utilita Arena, in Birmingham city centre, is a busy indoor sports and entertainment venue, with a 2024 line-up that includes badminton, darts, mixed martial arts and ice skating.

Previously, it has hosted global events such as the World Trampolining and Tumbling Championship, the BMX World Championships and the World Indoor Athletics Championships.
